    The current study reports synthesis of nano-SiO2/Teflon powder polyurethane composite coating. Results have shown adequate hydrophobicity (CA 90°) for two various samples with different nano-SiO2 concentration of 9 wt.% and 11 wt.% wich were modified by thermal treatment method. Propertie of prepared hydrophobic coatings were analyzed and characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and contact angle measurement (CA). Eventually this study proposed a simple, low-cost method of hydrophobic coatings preparation. The adequate samples have a water contact angle of 125.6° and 139.8°, respectively.
