COMPUTING THE DETERMINANT FOR BLOCK PENTADIAGONAL AND BLOCK HEPTADIAGONAL MATRICES WITH CORNERS

In this paper, we present a sequence of approximations for the determinant of a block pentadiagonal(BPD) and block heptadiagonal( BHD) matrices with corners, this work used of expansions det(X) = exp(trace(log(X))) . Then we extend this process for block anti-pentadiagonal (BAPD) and block anti-heptadiagonal(BAHD) matrices with corners. We do this work by determinant of a block tridiagonal matrix with corners
