In this work the surface modification and functionalization of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were investigated. CNTs were firstly treated by acid mixture H2S04 I HN03 to introduce the carboxylic group on to the surface of (CNTs), were characterized using FT -IR techniques. The synthesized Pt/MWCNT, Pt-Ti02/MWCNT Nano composite sample were characterized through X-Ray diffraction (XRD). The electro-catalytic properties of electrodes are examined by cyclic voltammetry. In this study carbon nanotubes functionalized by platinum and titanium dioxide as a catalyst by methods of cyclic voltammetry, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) was studied. Nanoparticles made of platinum and platinum Titanium dioxide ratio of atomic 1: 1 (with the same level) on the bed of carbon nanotube walls was used. The results of cyclic voltammetry proved that carbon nanotubes Multi-walled functionalized with a ratio of 1: 1 titanium dioxide electrochemical activity of platinum above (rnA Platinum titanium dioxide mg) for methanol oxidation reaction showed towards Platinum. These results are polymers (poly aniline) were tested: the role of catalytic CNT increase is much more than poly aniline, CNT catalytic role that the potential of the low and high flow makes good plays while P-Aniline can not make the CNT.
