The static deformation and free vibration analysis of axisymmetric and isotropic circular plates
based on nonlocal theory of Eringen is presented. The first order shear deformation plate theory is
used. The finite element method is used for the solution, and circular and annular plates with
various geometry and boundary conditions are considered. The governing equations are derived
from Hamilton principle and by setting nonlocal parameter e a 0 equal to zero, all equations reduce
to the local form. Numerical results show that nano plate behavior is strongly dependent on
boundary conditions, and for the axisymmetric circular and annular nano plate the effect of
nonlocal parameter and boundary conditions are similar to nano beams.
