Influence of acoustic screen on directional characteristics of cylindrical radiators

The process of directional sound radiation of a cylinder, coated by circular open covering, is considered. The solution of the corresponding boundary value problem has been constructed on the basis of the method of partial subdomains. Using the method of asymptotic solutions the conditions under which this problem can be solved by a simple reduction method were established. This analysis allowed the study of the quantitative characteristics of a field of the cylindrical radiator enclosed in an unlocked circular layer
