Prioritization of the Most Important and Most Basic Features of Selecting Information Systems with the Fuzzy TOPSIS Method

Given the importance and the role of accounting software in recording events and financial activities of the companies, determination of the criteria of selecting a software for the companies and institutions has been the subject of the discussion and study of many researchers over the past few years. The present research has been conducted in the respect of selecting a desirable software and its results are presented to the users. In this research, it has been attempted to determine the most important and the most basic features of selecting software and then these features are prioritized by using the TOPSIS method. Of course, the method of the present research has been a descriptive – survey method and it is an applied research. For this purpose and in order to get results, a questionnaire was prepared and was filled out by 100 of the users of accounting softwares and they have been measured. And ultimately, the ten priorities that seem more important in the opinion of the accounting softwares include the ability of upgrading information, proper password, ability of reversing the records automatically, the ability of restoring the data automatically, putting more than one price in, making the reports custom-made, calculating deviation from the real budget, ability of covering the cash basis, the ability of printing the information online and the ability of reporting.
