Effect of ethical leadership with a mediating role of social capital and leader-member exchange on the job performance of the employees working in Ilam Tax Affairs head office

The main purpose of the present research is to evaluate the effect of ethical leadership on employeesʹ job performance, which is mediated through social capital and leader-member exchange. In this study, the study population consisted of all directors and head auditors of occupational codes in Tax Affairs head office in Ilam Province; according to the 2005 census, they were a number of 34 individuals in the province. The number of these directors and head auditors added up to 34 individuals; thus, given the sample size (its finite quality), and considering the permissible limit of descriptive research and surveys, a census was utilized. The method of the research was an applied method by purpose and it is descriptive-type research in terms of data collection, and also it is an experimental research based on structural equations in terms of research variable relationship. For research data collection, four standard questionnaires were distributed among all the heads of the branches. Descriptive statistical methods such as frequency distribution tables and mean were used to examine and describe general features of respondents. Moreover, the analysis of the data was conducted by SPSS software square and SMART PLS. The results of the research indicated that social capital mediates the effect of ethical leadership on job performance.
