In this paper, the procedure of choosing the elementsʹ coefficients in pulse arrays, is presented and discussed. We
investigated properties of amplitude pattern and array factor (AF) of linear array in different convex weightings for elements
and introduced new parameter for comparing the usefulness of this weightings and finding an efficient and better arrangement
in radar and communication application to save the power in the main beam of the radiation. The results reveal that arrays with convex weightings and small coefficients have better performance than uniform array for any spacing between elements.
