The purpose of this paper is to obtain a relation for calculating the average Nusselt number in
laminar fluid flow on the body. During this analysis we use numerical experiments by fluent software.
Cross flow can be a circular cylinder, an elliptical cross section or a cube. The flow is assumed to be
tow-dimentional. Circular and elliptical cross sections will be discussed. Clearly when we have the
equations for average Nusselt number, we can compute the heat transfer without the numerical
experiments. For validation between solution procedure and software that used, at first we try to get
the equation for fluid flow over a flat plate that has analytic solution then we compare the result with
numerical experiments. There is an Experimental formula for the average Nusselt for cylinders with
circular cross-section that validation done. In order to compute the equation for every Reynolds
number, the mean Nusselt number is calculated. We do this for several points. Then by using the
Hilpert experimental equation, a logarithmic equation is assumed and by drawing Nusselt number
versus Reynolds number logarithmic diagram, the equation will be caught.
