Romanticism is a name given to a movement which is mostly dominant in literature rather than other types of art. It started from Europe and mostly Britain but there exists an American form of it as well. The focus of this paper is on William Wordsworth (7117-7587) and Ralph Waldo Emerson (7571-7551), British and American romantics respectively and the comparison of their romantic ideas with an Iranian poet, Sohrab Sepehri (7215-7257). The argument is mostly geared toward two poems by Wordsworth and a poem by Emerson. To add more obvious illustrations to the subject some poems by Sepehri are quoted and explained based on the romantic theory. The conclusion suggests the main mutual message conveyed by these poets completely far from each other considering their country and their society
