ON-LINE SPECIATION ANALYSIS OF ANTIMONY VIA HYDRIDE GENERATION TECHNIQUE USING ULTRASONIC NEBULIZERCOUPLED TO ICP-OES

For the first time, on-line hydride generation using ultrasonic nebulizer was applied for determination of Sb(III) and Sb(V) by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICPOES). Duo to different kinetics of hydride generation of different oxidation state of antimony, speciation analysis would be possible by this technique. In this work, ultrasonic nebulizer was used for on-line and direct hydride generation as well as for sample for ICP-OES. Parameters affecting on speciation analysis were investigated and under optimal conditions, limits of detection were 0.04 and 0.14 ng mL-1 for Sb(III) and Sb(V), respectively
