In material flow of a plant, parts are processed in batches. In this paper we consider that
each production batch is characterized by two different attributes. In each stage, a setup occurs every
time the attribute of the new batch is different from the previous one. Two objectives are considered:
minimizing total set-up cost and minimizing the maximum setup times in either stage. Both models are
that are proofed as NP-hard and are formulated throughout the paper. Then, An efficient multiobjective
simulated annealing approach is proposed to the bi-criteria sequencing problem. The
performance of the proposed algorithm is compared to total enumeration
