Abstract :
Plastic extrusion products are generally used in every area of the industry. The most important reason for this the production of the seamless plastic products with desired shape and dimensions are easily produced in extrusion dies. Plastic products are subjected to many different parameters during their extruded. For this reason, determining the effects of the extrude parameters and finding accurate and practical solutions are easier with the utilization of intelligent system. In this study, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model, which parameters of LDPE melt temperature and die temperature are input values and parameter of extrusion time is output value. This parameters are simulated in the MATLAB programming. An ANN model was trained to check the validity of the extrusion time, experimental studies have been performed. For the experimental study obtained from LDPE plastic material, natural gases pipe elements sample is selected. The extrusion time obtained from the ANN model is compared with extrusion time obtained from experimental work. As a result the extrusion time differences between the ANN model and experimental results have been observed up to % 15.1.
