Abstract :
Eleven genotype, which are seedbank of Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture of MKUwere compared in this work. Comparison of genotypes were investigated for plant height fruitnumber, day after fruit maturity, fruit diameter, fruit length, seed number in fruit, 1000 seed weight,emergence percentage and mean germination time. Differences were determined among genotypesfor all investigated properties. They were changed 14.3-77.3 cm in plant height, 11-63 in fruit number, 75-96 days in fruit maturity, 7.3-42.0 mm in fruit width, 27.7-81.0 mm in fruit length, 7-57 in seed number, 1.8-6.1 g in 1000 seed weight, 78-100% in emergence percentage and 193-367 hours in mean germination time. While the plant height was highest in MKU 86, it was lowest in MKU 101. The lower height plants are preferred for potted ornamental pepper. All genotypes generally have small fruits because of they are selected as ornamental pepper. The shortest fruit was obtained from MKU 101. The longest fruit belongs MKU 86 with approximately 81 mm. MKU 19 is higher performance than the other genotypes about seed number of fruit and 1000 seed weight. The lowest seedling emergence percentage was determined from MKU 105.
