Abstract :
The aim of this article is to exhibit the e-government’s position in Turkey, citizen’s reaction to implementation of e-government, Turkey’s position in terms of e-government infrastructure in United Nations countries, participation and e-government literacy and research the effects of egovernment on bureaucratic structure. According to this study, in Turkey, citizen’s reaction against egovernment is positive as well as e- government applications have not reached the desired levelbecause of infrastructures such as software, hardware, personnel and network connection were not completed, as a result, Turkey was staid in 69^th row in the world e-government development index. If mentioned problems exceeded, at least, Turkey will come to row that is proportional with itseconomy. In addition, with the widespread implementation of e-government, bureaucracy will relax, labor force and costs of resource use will decrease, archiving will be easy and bureaucracy will discard its clumsy structure and get strong by the decreasing of processing time significantly.
