Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a relationship between multiple intelligences and creative thinking levels of secondary school students. This study indicated that to investigate differences among multiple intelligences and creative thinking levels point of view students’ characteristics like gender, grade, mathematics success and preschool education. The sample of the study consists of 278 students in secondary schools in Aksaray. Data were collected by “Multiple Intelligences Inventory”, “How Creative Are You?” scales with demographical information form. Frequency tables, t-test and analysis of variance were employed to analyze data. The results of the study indicated that, there were significance, positive but weak relationships between creative thinking and spatial-visual, musical, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal-social, and intrapersonal intelligences. Finally suggestions were included for improving multiple intelligences and creative thinking in teaching mathematics in secondary schools.
