Title Of Article :
The Impact Of The Concept Maps Used For Internal Secretion Glands On Students Academic Success
Abstract :
The aim of this study, to research teaching of science and technology made with the concept maps, on students academic achievement compared to traditional methods to what extent effective. As the study group, 2010-2011 academic year, in Diyarbakir at an elementary school students, which according to pre-test results, achievement levels are determined to be equivalent to each other 7th class, are selected. This two groups, experimental and control groups, have been formed from the students who take part in the research. While the teaching in the control group has been based on lecturing, teaching in the experimental group has been based on concept maps. “Internal Secretion Glands” achievement Test, which 1-week pre-test and at the end of a 1-week teaching as a final test was applied, study continued for three weeks. The obtained data, assessed at the SPSS-17. For the testing 1. and 2. problems of research “associated samples t-test”, for the 3. sub problem “unassociated samples t-test” has been used.
