Evaluation of Microteaching Applications through Student Teachers’ Views
Abstract :
This study aimed to examine views of student teachers to application of micro-teaching The study was conducted within the scope of School Experience course offered in, Science Teacher Education Program in the spring term of 2012-2013 study years. The sample of the study consists of 28 Science Teacher Education Program student teachers in Pamukkale University. Case study method was used in this study. Data were gathered through and questionnaire conducted with student teachers. Qualitative data were examined through descriptive analysis. Advantages and disadvantages of the implementation of microteaching approach were discussed in the light of student teachers’ views. Student teachers have developed a positive attitude towards the implementation of the microteaching application. At the same time, microteaching application has been seen to be useful in solving the problems student teachers faced in the preparing, presentation and handling of lesson process.
