Abstract :
The current study was carried out to examining the mathematical development of children attending to kindergarten in terms of some variables. The research was conducted over 323 children at the ages of 60-72 months attending to independent kindergartens acting under the Ministry of Education in Ankara. The research is designed in descriptive survey model. The research data were obtained using the Progress in Math 6 Test and a personal information form prepared by the researcher. Independent group t-test and Anova test were used to analyse the data depending on the variables. At the end of the statistical studies, no significant difference was found related to gender in the mathematical progression of children,while significant differences was found between the items of attending to another educational institution beforehand, parents’ educational status and economic level of the family.
