Abstract :
In this study, the levels of showing cultural leadership aptitudes of primary and secondary school principals according to teachers perception were examined. Population of this study is primary and secondary school teachers working in Batman city center and the sample group is 316 primary and secondary school teachers working in 24 different schools. Data were gathered using Cultural Leadership Questionnaire (Yıldırım, 2001) prepared on five-point Likert Scale. The data were analysed using SPSS data analysis software by using frequency, percentage and type of school by using t-test, working hours and years of sevice in the school by using ANOVA variance analysis. The significance level wascalculated as p≤0,05.The results concludes that primary and secondary school principals shows the aptitudes of cultural leadership on adequate level according to teachers perception. Yet it was found that gender and school type effects although year of service and length of working at the school doesn t have much effect on the sucject matter.
