Constructivism; Evaluation of Examples Applications and Effect of Permanence
Abstract :
Constructivism is a learning approach which advocated the creation of knowledge with actively individual under the guidance of teachers. In this study, the details of an application based on constructivist learning approach were focused on results of evaluating of the applications. With a weak experimental design, single group pretest-posttest experimental research method was used in the study. Two different traditional data colleting tools were performed to evaluation to the group before and after study. In order to analyze the data some statistical techniques such as percent (%), standard deviation, mean, Spearman s correlation coefficient and Wilcoxon signed rank test were used after the study. At the end of the research, constructivist learning theory increased academic achievement of the students. Besides, significant difference was not seen on the permanence of the students after two months later. In addition, two different data collecting tools obtained from the study, showed similar results on student’s achievement.
