Abstract :
The aim of this research is to investigation of the adolescents’ psychologicalsymptoms according to their gender, type of schools, grade, and perception of parents’ attitude.For this aim, data was collected from 338 (176 girl, 162 boys) adolescents who were students in the different type of high schools. In the research, in order to data collecting Brief Symptom Inventory (Derogatis, 1992) which was translated Turkish by Sahin and Durak (1994) were used. According to the findings, firstly, girls’ psychological symptom means high than boys’means. Secondly, adolescents, who educating Anatolian high school students, depression and hostility means high than adolescents, who educating occupational high school students,means. Thirdly, there are no differens adolescents’ psychological symptoms according to grade levels. Lastly, adolescents who have democratic parent attitude have less psychological symptoms. The findings are discussed in the light of the literature.
