Abstract :
The aim of the research is to determine pre-school teachers’ the proficiency levels of classroom management skills and integration education. This study was a descriptive study and was performed using the relational survey model. The universe of the research consists of a total of 578 pre-school teachers who work in primary schools with kindergartens, independent kindergartens, vocational schools for girls that located in Diyarbakır province central districts (Sur, Yenişehir, Kayapınar, Bağlar ) in the academic year 2014-2015. ln the research attempts have been tried to reach the entire accessible universe, not to take samples. In this direction, scales distributed to 400 teachers who work 27 primary schools, 22 independent kindergartens and 3 vocational schools for girls. In the application result a total of 342 scales were evaluated after missing filled out scales had been eliminated. As a data collection tool, “Teachers’ Classroom Management Proficiency Scale” and “Integration Education Scale” were used. Data obtained from the study were analyzed by SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) program. Findings obtained from the research shows that pre-school teachers see both their the proficiency levels of classroom management skills and integration education “at a very high level” and there are significant, positive correlations among the proficiency levels of classroom management skills integration education. In addition, teachers’ classroom management skills also have been found as a significant predictor of the proficiency of integration education.
