Urban Classification and the Position of Tatvan City in Urban Classifications
Abstract :
Cities can be classified different methods in urban geography. Citiescan be classified by criterions of just one of urban classification methods or by criterions of a lot of different urban classications. The goal of this study is to determine Tatvan’s urban position in different urban classification by applying their criterions. According to all urban classification methods applied on Tatvan city, it can called as a still developing, small, modern, crescent shaped, coastal city located by important roads and railways that connected to ferryboat transportation area,. because of its geographical location and socio- economic functions.
