Abstract :
The aim of the study is to define the realization level of learning experiences in high school geography course. The research has been conducted through the scanning method. The data have been collected through the application of the high school geography course realization level of learning definition scale (questionnaire), consists of 48 articles and of quintet likert type, on the working group. The working group is 786 freshmen who have been attending the Faculties of Education in Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Nigde University and Artvin Çoruh University in the 2008-2009 academic year.The data have been analyzed via the techniques of t-test, ANOVA (F) and Scheffe in the SPSS 13 statistics software. According to the results of the research; the realization level of learning experiences in high school geography course is between the partially interval. Among the five sub-dimensions related to learning experiences; the dimensions of teacher and evaluation were at the generally level, and the dimensions of student, teaching principles and methods and teaching technologies and materials were at the partially level. It was found that the student s gender, the school and the field s/he graduated from, the geographical region, the student engagement with the geography course and the success level are factors on learning experiences.
