Abstract :
This study is the last part of previously issued studies “The Importance of Teaching Technologies and Material Development Course and Suggestion on the Teaching Process” (Alım, 2007) and “Material Design for Geography Lessons” (Alım, 2012). Inclusion of the course in the curriculums, importance and aims of the course and suggestions on the teaching process were the topics of these studies. Moreover, various teaching material designs were presented which could be developed during the teaching process. This study on the other hand, focuses on the extent and variety of acquisitions that prospective geography teachers made in the Instructional Technology and Material Design/Development Course. The examples of the study were obtained from last year students of Atatürk University Faculty of Education, Department of Geography Teaching (2007-2013). A 27-item inventory was utilized as a data collection tool and the data collected was analyzed to find out mean ( X ) and t-test (Independent Sample T Test) scores. According to the findings of the research, prospective geography teachers achieve most of the projected acquisitions. While the extent of the achievement to the acquisitions does not differ with gender; it does with the attitude towards use of teaching technologies.
