Abstract :

Yusufeli with is naturel beauties, culturel, historical and recreational facilities is one of the most important environs of Northeastern Anatolian Region which has the potential for tourism. Yusufeli to explore the area can be opened to ecotourism, region s historical, cultural and traditional values in order to promote revealing both the provincial as well as district will provide an important contribution to. In this study, the existing potential in the region, forming tourism resources at the regional level natural, historical and cultural tourism activities related to potential sources that may pose classification in terms of values and consciously aimed to determine strategies to use. The observations made in the field of research work and studies in the region with the help of evaluated existing and potential tourism activities, are classified. In this study, SWOT Analysis in used as a method and we try try to define the strong and weak aspects of environs with the opputunities and treats in terms of ecotourism. The present and potential tourism activities are evaluated, classified with the help of observations and researches done in the environs.Active tourism activities (1) Faith-Cultural Tourism Activities, (2) Festival-Festival (3) Water Based Tourism Activities, (4) Hiking (Sporty purpose-discovery purposes), (5) Camping-Caravan Tourism Potential of Tourism Activities (1) Bird-watching Butterflies (2) Botanic, (3) Wildlife watching (4) Based on transhumance Operating Activities, and (5) bike safari as were determined and evaluated. As result of the research, we reach conclusion that the significant values which form the source of ecotourism in terms of geographical, ecological and sociocultural in the environs and the environs may be significant ecotourism center with its civil society, university, local authorities and public investment.
