Abstract
Currently, there is not any biogas plant in Çanakkale. Results of the study indicate that Çanakkale has a grand potential of biogas production. From the number of the animals (bovine, ovine and poultry), received from Çanakkale Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, and the calculation of the manure, it is calculated that approximately 96 934 753 m^3 of biogas could be gained, annually. During the process, it is taken into consideration that chemical and biological factors are at optimum level. Çanakkale is in the second rank after the potential general of Thrace area.
