Abstract
The purpose of study is to determine seventh grade students’ critical thinking skills in terms of some variables in course of Social Studies. This research was designed according to survey method. In the research, “Critical Thinking Scale” developed by Özdemir (2005b) is used (α =0.78). It’s found that; (1) There is no significant difference between levels of students’ critical thinking skills and students’ gender, (2) There is no significant difference between levels of students’ critical thinking skills and students’ schools, and (3) There is statistically a significant difference on levels of students’ critical thinking skills and students’ scores at lesson of Social Studies.
