Abstract :
In this study, the definition of secondary school students views on the project, the project will achieve operational process and the work of the project is to describe the intended gains. The study was carried out by using semi-structured interview technique. In the research group, there were 27 students chosen from 6th, 7th, 8th graders in Selçuk Primary School in Niğde in 2011-2012 education and teaching term. To do this, an interview protocol was prepared by the researchers. During the process of preparation of the protocol, secondary students, students studying in education faculties and teachers received training on projects, were expected to write compositions. After the evaluation of these compositions, twenty questions were formed. Questions were examined if they have the validity of scope or not by experts and after this examination process; the protocol of interview was formed with the views of experts finally.At the end of the study, it was identified that although students have a general knowledge about the project works, they find themselves inadequate. On the basis of students’ views, raising their awareness especially about the definition and function of a project has become necessary. However students stated that project works are effective for socialization.
