Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to analyze the post graduate thesis conducted in the field of special education in Turkey in terms of various variables. In the thesis scanning center of the Higher Education Council (YÖK), 75 thesis in the field of Special Education have been fouınd. 61 of the 72 thesis are master’s thesis and 11 of them are dissertations. As a result of the research, the findings can be cited as ; according to disability groups, it is seen that most of them have been written on mental retardation; among the graduate thesis between the years of 2008 and 2013, which have been obtained from the scanning center of YÖK, the most were written in 2008; graduates thesis in the field of special education have been heavily studied in the master’s thesis while in PhD dissertations such studies are comparatively less than they are in the master’s thesis; the use of domestic and foreign sources in graduate thesis have equal percentages; in the studies conducted mostly quantitative method is preferred.
