  • Abstract
    Technical characteristics of pelajic set nets, used in Istanbul artisanal fisheries were determined with this study. A total of 7 various types pelagic set nets of which 5 gill nets and 2 trammel nets were identified. Technical plans of these nets were introduced for the first time according to the FAO standards.
