شماره ركورد :

Abstract :
The Ottoman Empire has ruled the Balkans throughout the centuries and thus affected deeply the Balkans in various fields such as politics, economy, culture, religion, and society, etc. These effects unavoidably have turned into legacies in various levels and in various fields such as political, economic, cultural and demographic legacies. Political legacy of the Ottoman Empire has been very weak in establishment of political institutions in the Balkan countries after they gained their independence from the Empire, but very strong in formation of borders among the Balkan states and in the protection and rise of power of the Balkan Orthodox Churches. Also, the Ottoman Empire provided a major contribution to the development of state tradition as ability to exercise self-government in the Balkan countries.
