Abstract :
This study, aims to explore the impact of the Turkish test designed by grid testing on primary school 7th grade students, on students concept learning. The sample of the experimental model, is the Metehan Primary School’s, which is in the Mamak district of Ankara province, 7th grade students. In the data collection stage, after examining the relevant sources of the data, pre-test, post test and retention test that drawn from various sources, applied to experimental and control group. In addition to these, midterms prepared by the grid testing technique that configured to the experimental group. At the and of the independent T-Test, thats made by the SPSS 13.0 for Windows program, its was seen that control and experimental group students academic success levels are equivalent to each other. The data obtained at the end of the study, was evaluated by ANCOVA, by using the SPSS 13.0 for Windows package program. Statistical data obtained from the study revealed that there is a meaningful difference between the academic achievements of those pre-service students in experimental group where alternative assessment strategies were employed and those pre-service studens in control group where traditional assessment strategies were used after the procedure.
