Abstract :
The aim of this study is to analysis the mathematics self-efficacy levels of pre-service science teachers and pre-service elementary classroom in science education. The data of the study were collected through the self-efficacy scale towards the use of mathematics in science which was developed by Can, Günhan and Erdal (2005). The scale is made up of eighteen items, five-level Likert type items. There are three factors in the scale, namely “self-perception in mathematics”, “implementation of mathematics” and “math skills”. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS 16 and the total scores and factor scores of the participants were determined. According to analysis, it can be seen that preservice science teachers’’ and pre-service elementary teachers’ mathematic self-efficacy levels in science education are in the average 4.08 that means the range is often. According to this finding, it can be said that preservice teachers have high level of mathematics self-efficacy in science education.
