Title Of Article :
Contribution to the Optimization of the Radiation Performance of Patch Array Antenna for WiMAX Applications
Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to increase the operating distance of the WiMAX implementation by increasing the gain and the directivity using microstrip array antenna. We present the design of simple 2X2 microstrip array antenna operating at 5.38 GHz for WiMAX applications. The design is based on a single layer FR4 substrate, having a loss tangent of 𝟎.𝟎𝟏6 and dielectric constant of .𝟎𝟓. The performance of the designed antenna is analyzed in term of return loss, bandwidth, gain, and VSWR and radiation pattern. Ansoft s High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) software and CST Studio suite are used to calculate and to compare the various characteristics mentioned before.
