Violence against Women in Antalya: Communication, Cooperation and Struggle

To combat violence against women, a project has been prepared with the coordination of Governorship of Antalya. In the scope of this project, the number of women exposed to violence and asking for help was primarily determined to explore the current situation. The purpose of this paper was to investigate the studies aiming at the struggle to stop violence against women in Antalya. The tasks and responsibilities of the related institutions concerning the prevention of violence, the struggle against violence and then proposed solutions were firstly discussed and then possible solutions were implemented. As a result in this paper, communication and cooperation amongst the related institutions in Antalya and the resultant gains in terms of combating violence against women are discussed in detail.
