Aim: This research was made to determine the levels of satisfaction of the patients under treatment in Burdur State Hospital with the application performed by the intern nurses in Mehmet Akif Ersoy University School of Nursing. Material and Method: Planned as descriptive, the research was made between 1-31 of May 2008 in the whole services of Burdur State Hospital except of the emergency service. The universe of the research includes the patients under treatment between defined dates. The sample consisted of 102 patients who accepted the research and had no communication problem by non-random sampling method. Data were collected by using the individual characteristic forms and Newcastle Nurse Satisfaction Scale (NNSS) Findings and Result: In the research about the patients satisfaction with the care performed by the intern nurses in Burdur State Hospital, the average level of the satisfaction was detected as 67.96 ± 12.57 from 100. The general patient satisfaction with nursing was moderate. The time allocated for you by the nurses was the highest level and the techniques nurses use to relieve your relatives and friends was defined as the lowest level. There were found considerable relationships among the satisfaction level and the patients education level. It may be advised that the satisfaction level of the patients should be scaled in a routine way and according to these results, the subjects which the nurses are in lack should be detected and the required education should be performed in an interactive way.
