School-hospital collaboration’ with the point of view of the students in birth internship
Abstract :
Aim: This study; gynecology and obstetrics and maternity clinic in the course of the internship, first aid and emergency department nursing students, hospital, school co- operation is planned to determine perspectives. Materials and Methods: This descriptive and cross-sectional population of the study as planned; obstetrics and gynecology clinic internship with the maternity ward of the ‘Emergency and First Aid Program’ 2nd grade students (n = 60) and ‘Nursing Program’ 3rd grade students (n = 57) constitute. Before obtaining permission from school administration is taken through the application of face to face interviews were carried out. The data obtained were evaluated as percentage opinions and interpersonal was analyzed by Chi square test. Results: The mean age of the participants is 20.87 ± 1.86. Gynecology and childbirth in terms of the reasons behind the formation of co-operation at the beginning of the school hospital; 76.9% of hospitals with inadequate conditions, in second place with 54.7% for managers is to come. School of hospital in-service training to improve cooperation canceled (68.4%) was seen as necessary. Conclusion: Students should practice birth as an intership in those services which are specialized areas. To ensure cooperation between institutions arranging regular in-service training, in service full time work as academics, clinical nurse training program also participate in courses should be provided.
