Title Of Article :
Clinical approach in children with hypertransaminasemia

Abstract :
The elevation of serum transaminases is seen with increasing frequency in daily clinical practice. From the completely asymptomatic patient to the child with signs of chronic liver disease, the full spectrum is highly varied. Viral hepatitis, medications, herbals or steatosis are potential causes of elevated transaminase levels. The ages and enzyme levels are important for the differential diagnosis of hypertransaminasemia and it should be taken into consideration that high serum transaminase levels could be seen; even direct hepatic damage had not been observed.
