  • Abstract
Meningiomas are benign, slow growing central nerve system tumors that originate from arachnoid cap cells. Atypical (WHO grade II) meningiomas comprise 15-20% of all meningiomas and management of this more aggressive and higher grade tumor is difficult. Although recurrence, morbidity, mortality rates are high and survey is short in grade II and III meningiomas, 38-68% local control rate can be provided with an efficient treatment strategy. Age of patient ( 50) and extension of surgical removal is directly correlated with survey.
