Title Of Article :
Analysis of Diffuse Radiation Models For Horizontal Surface According To Measurement Results
Abstract :
Due to insufficient measurements and expensive measuring instruments, the diffuse radiation incident to horizontal surface is calculated from global solar radiation incident horizontal surface by using various models. In this study, horizontal diffuse radiation values for Şanlıurfa were calculated by using diffuse radiation models given in literature with aid of horizontal global radiation measurements and the results of models was compared with measurement results of diffuse radiation. In the analysis, 7 years measurements data from solar radiation measurement system with solar tracker which is set up at Deparment of Mechanical Engineering, Harran University were used for horizontal total and diffuse solar radiation. The statistical errors of five diffuse radition models were calculated. It was determined that although the diffuse radiation data vary with time, Erbs et al. model is the most appropriate according to statistical errors. Moreover, Liu and Jordan model which is used commonly in the literature was found to show large deviation from measurement data.
