QUALITATIVE DATA ANALYSIS: A STUDY ON METHODOLOGY PROBLEM IN SOCIAL SCIENCES
Abstract :
The purpose of current study is to describe the qualitative data analysis which is one of the basic step in qualitative research paradigm. Qualitative data analysis is a sum of activities in which the data obtained by observation and interview is arranged, categorised and themed and consequently all this processes are reported. The basic aim in qualitative data analysis is to explore the knowledge which is grounded in the social reality. In this process the researcher uses hir or her own subjective perspective and constructs the social reality by using the inductive methodology. In the study, the development of qualitative data analysis has been discovered historically and at the end it has been concluded that qualitative data analysis remarkably differs from quantitative data analysis in terms of its aim and method.
