WHISTLEBLOWING AND ETHICS RELATIONSHIP IN A THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

This study examines whistleblowing literature in Turkish and English to draw the boundaries of the concept and question its ethical dimension in a critical approach. For this aim the study adopts a qualitative approach, namely literature review. Personal, organizational and situational dimensions of whistleblowing phenomenon and to what extent and in what situations it is ethical in the perspectives of different parties are examined by the study. At the end of the study some suggestions are provided regarding effective execution of whistleblowing, avoidance of ethical dilemmas and proper ways of informing unethical activities.
