Comparing IQ Scores of Gifted Students in Terms of Parent Education Level and Family Income Rate

Purpose of the study is to compare IQ scores of gifted students (verbal, performance and general) in terms of mother and father education level, and family income rate. Sample of the study included 442 gifted students (186 girls and 256 boys) who took courses from Malatya Science and Art Center in 2005-2012. For collecting data from the participants, personal information form and WISC-R test were utilized. The reliability and validity of the test scores were reported by Savaşır and Şahin.The data was analyzed by using three-way MANOVA for three different dependent variables across three different independent variables. The results of the analyses showed that there was no statistically significant difference in verbal, performance and general scores of the participants across parent education level, and family income rate.
