Evaluation of Pasture Parcels, the Limiting Application Completed, Using Geographical Information Systems In Isparta
Abstract :
In this paper, investigation to determine the separation, content, quality and geographical location of the pasture parcels which were completed the limiting application using geographical information systems is provided. First, the parcels that were identified as pasture area between 1999-2003 were transformed into digital form in MERBIS project. Then, the data base was set up for all parcels which has attribute files including the location, topography, area, land use capability classes, law condition, improvement and grazing capacity. The type of pasture area, geographic location, topographic type, land characteristics, and pasture quality were determined using measure, query and spatial procedures of geographical information systems. It was found that the production of base cartographical maps for pasture planning can be possible using MERBIS project data in Geographical Information Systems, and also it is possible to produce pasture map of Isparta
