Examinations of Manure Condition from Cattle Barns Related to Water Resources

In this study, the current conditions of cattle manure, manure storage units, problems of manure storage and interaction with the water resources around Burdur Lake was examined. In this study, 74 animal enterprises were chosen. Seventy of these enterprises did not have manure storage and also uncontrolled manure accumulations were observed. These manure accumulations were limiting animal movement and they were risk the animal health. Due to the lack of manure storage system in these enterprises, manures were polluting the environment. The results were compared with literature and necessary suggestions were made.
