Abstract
The aim of this study was to estimate genotypic and phenotypic parameters for body weight in Patridges (Alectoris chukar) by random regression model. This study used, the body weight at 4(HAF4), 8 (HAF8), 12 (HAF12), 16 (HAF16), 20 (HAF20) and 24 weeks of age (HAF24) of 401 petridges was recorded from march 2010 to January 2011. Heritability for weekly body weights(HAF4, HAF8, HAF12, HAF16, HAF20 and HAF24) were estimated respectively; 0.57, 0.58, 0.57,0.54, 0.44 and 0.40. Genetic correlation for body weights were estimated to be between 0.76 and 0.99, and phenotypic correlation 0.34 and 0.91; all were being significant (p 0.01).
