Abstract
In the area of social sciences, interest on using structural equation modeling technique has been increased, especially for the model analysis. The purpose of the present study is to examine structural equation modeling and regression in a comparative way. With this purpose, the same data set has been analyzed via these two techniques on three models based on the theory of planned behavior original model. Two models did not worked completely both in the structural equation modeling results and regression analysis results. The important result of the study is, explained variances of the moderator and the dependent variables are higher at the structural equation modeling results for all of the models. Limitations and the suggestions for further research are included at the end of the study.
