Title Of Article :
THE MEASUREMENT OF INTERREGIONAL EFFICIENT USAGE OF FACTORS IN TURKEY BY USING DATA ENVELOPMENT ANALYSIS
Abstract :
The main object of this paper is to present alternative policy suggestions with the aim of efficient usage of sources after determining whether regional sources are used efficiently or not. To this end a case study of Turkey is presented based on the approach which says ‘under developed regions in terms of socio economic development don’t use their sources efficiently’. In this sense 26 regions of Turkey are analysed by using the Data Envelopment Analysis model, which is useful for measuring the relative efficiencies of Decision Making Units. In consequence of that analysis the regions which don’t use their sources efficiently according to this study are considered by using their positions in the order of socio economic development levels. According to the results of the analysis there aren’t enough evidence which supports that the regions which have low socio economic development levels don’t use their sources efficiently.
